Women’s History Month

As a female entrepreneur and a mom, I can attest that it truly does take a village. I was so honored to have myself and my company highlighted for Women's History Month by TD Bank. As an entrepreneur, wife and mother, I often can be found “heads down” with my sleeves rolled up, focused on doing the best possible job for the task at hand. It was truly special to have the opportunity to stop for a moment and reflect on how far we have come. In the 8 years since our formation, my community of vendors has helped me grow my business and realized my dreams beyond what I could have ever imagined. From housing furniture in my garage to a thriving business, with warehouses, a fleet of vehicles and a team that I love working alongside every day.

Because we believe that nurturing starts at home and every house ought to be a home, It’s been our honor to share our success to partner with  local charities and community outreach programs like city house and ride4orphans to donate furnishings and resources to bring the dream of a beautiful living space to those in need.

The journey here has not been an easy one – something that I think can be missed by glossy photos and social media “highlight” reels. Our own family has sustained our share of personal tragedy and heartbreak.

In 2021 we welcomed our fourth baby, our daughter Sloane. Tragically and unexpectedly, Sloane passed away after a month long stay in the NICU.  During this time, we needed to lean on our community more than ever, and our family and I were truly blown away at the amount of love and support that we received.

During this time it became clearer than ever to me how important our “villages” are. I am humbled and count myself blessed to have the privilege of investing into my employees to build them up and showing my kids what’s possible with the right team, right mindset and honest hard work.
